What's Going on With Meghan And Harry's Netflix Docu-Series??

Harry and Meghan's Docu-series with Netflix is on Pause

Pursuant to their "finding freedom" initiative, Meghan and Harry signed a $100 million plus deal with Netflix to produce content across different platforms. One of those projects, as it turns out, is a docu-series about their family life that was supposed to air in December 2022.

Apparently, Harry and Meghan's Netflix docu-series is on pause until at least 2023. The company made an official announcement about it. There seems to have been some conflict with the Crown, and taken in concert with the Queen's recent demise, all parties appear to have agreed that the planned December début was not right.

Interestingly, the Duchess said in a recent interview that the director of the series had done it in a way that she and Harry did not wholly see eye to eye. She said they would have done it differently. So it appears that a lot of the media reports that there was some drama behind the scenes of the docu-series are true. And the Sussexes may not be very keen to push forward with it.

Reality TV and docu-series and things like that can definitely be manipulated by the people who do the editing. It is never as it is filmed - whether in terms of timing, sequence, or anything at all. They can edit your words to make it seem like you are saying something that you are not saying. They can make things appear to happen in a sequence when that was not the reality.

At the same time, I am very nervous about things like reality TV and docu-series for Meghan and Harry. It is just going to be fodder for their enemies who already view the Sussexes as the "gift that keeps on giving."

Yes, Meghan and Harry need to work to fund their lifestyle and they need to pay their own bills and they also need to fund their philanthropic work. This is very costly, especially when added to maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and...what is the word....the electricity and water bills and stuff like that? I cannot remember the word, but there is one word for that kind of stuff. This is very expensive on a house the size of what the Sussexes have in Montecito. So, they need to work and they need to make good money.

But I would so much prefer it if they were not the ones in these projects. For example, they can do a show about a middle-aged black woman in Paris Archewell Productions Should do a Show Set in Paris - With a Black Woman! (meghanandharryadvisors.blogspot.com) That has never been done. It could be interesting whether as scripted content or a docu-series or whatever. And I would be the star, obviously. This is obvious. Is it not? I would be the star.

I understand the public hunger for more, more, more of their life and business just so they can talk, critique, and hate on the Sussexes. But why are Harry and Meghan falling into this trap? They should be smarter than this. There are many other ways to make money than exposing themselves and their family life on a Netflix docu-series.

Meghan can travel to Grasse, France, and create a fragrance and a line of home scents, candles, etc. that could bring in millions per year if properly marketed (well, maybe if she doesn't want, I can do it as part of the docu-series mentioned above). Then there is their vineyard project which, if true, is absolutely brilliant, I think. Meghan Markle Wants to Learn French - YouTube

Meghan can also do collaborations and commercials for well-established brands, like Chanel, Revlon, and others. I would prefer an occasional commercial for sophisticated products than a docu-series that exposes their family life.

What about the Cali Girl line that I discussed yesterday in this post? Not only can she do perfume with this brand name, but she can also literally create a whole line of products and apparel and she can stay behind the scenes and hire other young models to be the face of the line - while everyone knows it is her line. And there should always be a link to some philanthropic aspect of their Archewell brand.

So many things she can do that do not involve this unhealthy dive into her family life with her husband and children.

She needs to call me! We need to have me be her advisor because it would be good for her, I think. I am actually serious.

But I digress. It seems that what is going on with Meghan and Harry's Netflix series is that for the moment, it is on pause. Stay tuned for updates about when and if that changes.
