What is Meghanism?

 According to me, meghanism is an:

irrational hatred and persecution directed at an individual woman (typically one who is considered to be unusually beautiful) on account of her marriage to a man who is usually a member of a different racial or ethnic group (but could be from the same racial or ethnic group) and a different social class than she is. The woman is typically a full or partial member of a minority or socially marginalized group. The established media plays a central role in the persecution, and aids and abets members of the public with flogging, shaming and harassing this individual woman until the marriage implodes.

I coined the term meghanism a few weeks ago but I have only now gotten a chance to sit down and come up with a definition. It is my view that meghanism can lead to a special type of misogyny that is directed at certain groups or classes of women. As noted in the video, Meghanism is a thing, the perpetrators are quite often other women even though men, too, can partake.

Also noted about meghanism in the article, The Misogyny Directed at Meghan Markle is Mostly From Other Women and it is SAD |, Meghan Markle is not the first woman to experience meghanism. Even though her case is an extreme form of it, and thus warrants the putting of a name on it, meganism has existed long before Meghan Markle met Prince Harry and will exist long after, unless and until the hierarchy among women no longer exists.
