Harry and Meghan's Charitable Foundation Archewell Steps Up Again, to Effectuate Real Change in Texas!
I am so very proud to support Meghan and Harry in their work to improve the lives of others. The latest iteration of their good works is their Foundation's help with building a playground in Uvalde, Texas - The DeLeon Park Playground.
But that was not the end of it. Both she and Harry clearly felt that more needed to be done, so they supported another charitable organization, KABOOM, to build the new playground.
According to Harper's Bazaar:
"The couple's charitable foundation, Archewell, partnered with the city and nonprofit KABOOM! to build a new community play space in Uvalde, nearly five months after it became the site of the second deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. The DeLeon Park playground project intends to bring families together as they come to terms and recover from the tragedy, which took the lives of 21 people. The building of the park, which is located four blocks from Robb Elementary, was driven by the community and the kids, who gave their input on what they'd like to see and play with in their dream playground."
This is so very important, following through on their projects to bring about real change, rather than just showing up at locations and accepting adoration and flowers from onlookers. This is why I said that Kate Middleton could learn from Meghan because I think Kate needs to do more than these cliché appearances at hospitals. The times we live in demand more, and Meghan and Harry get that. Not to knock Kate. She is a nice girl and she is doing her best. But I think she needs to look to what Meghan and Harry are doing for some inspiration. Because people need real help, not photo ops.
