  No, Meghan Should Not Settle the Lawsuit that Samantha Markle Brought Against her for Defamation Why not? It would set the wrong precedent. Look, generally, I don't believe that lawsuits brought in bad faith should be settled. I am of the school of thought that most cases should settle if they can, and statistics show that 97 percent of cases settle before a judge decides who wins.   A lot of celebrities have applied for trademark protection for their names or the names of their children. The reason they do this is to prevent people from using their names for commercial or nefarious purposes. It is not easy to get a trademark for your name unless you are going to use it in business, and unless you can show that your name is so unique that people associate it specifically with you as a personality or celebrity or something like that. The good thing about trademarking your name, if you can get it, is that it prevents people from profiting by using your name in a nefarious manner. You just sue them for trademark infringement. Meghan's Genetic Makeup Suggests Her Dad Could be a Little Bit African!   Wow! When Meghan revealed that she is 43 percent Nigerian, my jaw dropped. Why? I am not even sure. It just dropped. I would say that is a high percentage of one ethnicity. So it means that her mother was 100% Nigerian, or that her Father has a little bit of Nigerian in him!  Which would be crazy. I have not heard any rumors about this, but I was wondering myself if the Sussexes are thinking of expanding their family via adoption and if so, whether they would adopt an African baby, and if so, would that be a Nigerian baby?  Obviously, Meghan and Harry should not feel any pressure to expand their family. It seems like the royal family goes out of its way to class Harry with Prince Andrew, who paid millions of pounds to settle a lawsuit that he sexually interfered with a female minor many years before his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.  Notably, Prince Andrew denied the charges but he nevertheless forked over millions of pounds when the woman brought suit in New York for damages.  While this payment does not indicate his guilt, it suggests that there was enough to the lawsuit that could have made it appear that he was, in fact, guilty as charged.   According to the New York Times, People.com and Page Six, Prince Harry's memoir will be released by Penguin Random House on January 10 2023. Now we can all wait with bated breath to get our grubby little paws on it. Many people expect the prince to trash his family - especially Camilla, his stepmother.  It would not come as a big shock if Harry felt a little bit negative about Camilla. After all, look what Camilla did to Harry's mother, Diana, who was a quintessential British princess . It was not fabulous. It is unclear whether the Duke and his father's second wife get along in light of the checkered past. She proudly calls herself a feminist and counts uber feminist & journalist Gloria Steinhem - the founder of "Take Our Daughters to Work Day" - as a dear and close friend. Nothing good will come from that much exposure. It will be like Britney Spears and Kevin Federline or Jessica Simpson and Nick Lackey. Meghan and Harry both are so much more than that level of exposure. They have so much more to lose than these celebrity pop stars did.  The other day, I read somewhere that Prince Harry was quoted as saying that sometimes he has burnout as a husband and a dad. I was not sure if I should have interpreted that literally, or if he was just trying to make a point while advocating as Chief Impact Officer for Better Up.  But let's assume he meant it literally. Is he feeling burnout? I would not be surprised, but I would be a little bit concerned. A lot concerned, actually, on many different levels. Obviously, I would be concerned for his physical well-being. A bad case of burnout can be really bad and last for years on end. A person can just stop functioning, and be totally unable to do anything at all when the burnout is at its worse. A mild case could last a few weeks and the person could bounce back and restart their usual activities before long. And, of course, there are all the mental and psychological implications that go with that. But on another level, I worry for Harry and Meghan as a couple. I am picking ...

  So, the other day, Duchess Meghan Markle was seen in her hometown of Montecito in a green jumpsuit reportedly by designer Malia Mills, a NYC high end newbie designer. And everybody seems to have an opinion about it. Are Youtubers Defaming the Duchess of Sussex? Should She Sue for Defamation? So there are all these Youtube videos and Youtubers running this story about Duchess Meghan. They claim there is a recording of Meghan saying that she and Harry are "one plane crash away from the throne." How callous and calculating that all sounds, doesn't it? It makes Meghan come off as a monster.  Does this type of story cause injury and damage to Meghan? I think so. The accusation that Meghan said she and Harry are "one plane crash away from the throne" is both libelous (written on blogs) and slanderous (spoken in videos) if she never said that.  This lie is being written on blogs and it is being repeated on Youtube videos and everyone is acting as if it is true.
