A MEGHAN MARKLE AUTUMN: INSPIRATION FOR HER FANS
Autumn is here, you guys!
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has recently returned from the UK where her grandmother-in-law, the longest reigning British Monarch Queen Elizabeth II, was recently lain to rest. It was a very stressful time as you can imagine, and quite unexpected too, given that the event occurred while the Duchess and her husband Prince Harry were in Europe tending to other engagements when they received the news that the monarch has passed away in her castle at Balmoral.
A lot of media attention exploded onto the Duke and Duchess, a situation which surprised them, as well as many in the viewing public who expected that most media attention would be squarely focused on paying respects to the deceased Queen.
The Duke and Duchess were very stressed during this time of unexpected mourning. They had left their two young children at home in Montecito with the Duchess' mother Doria and had not expected to spend more than two weeks apart from them. They also had not calculated that they would have lost their beloved grandmother. It was a sad time for them, as well as for the rest of the royal family.
Shortly after the Queen was laid to rest, the Duke and Duchess returned to California where they have been ensconced in family time with their children, while still mourning the Queen.
The Duchess is trying to give her children the happiest autumn she possibly can under the circumstances, and also cheer up her husband, Harry Duke of Sussex as much as she can.
Here are some activities that the Duchess of Sussex is likely going to indulge in this autumn:
1. She will take the children to a pumpkin patch to select a pumpkin or two. There is a great place that is her favorite and she is going to take the kids to a corn maze. They are a little young for some of the activities but she will do her best to make sure they have a fun adventure with their pumpkins.
2. She and Harry are going to visit the farmers market to pick up some Fall produce in Santa Barbara one weekend while the kids stay home with her mom. While they are out, they will have a pumpkin latte.
3. She is going to bake apple pie for the family. The Duchess loves to be in the kitchen making all sorts of things for her family. It is really how she nurtures and shows her love and she is planning to do a little bit of baking this Fall. She could also do some cinnamon buns. Those always put her in a good mood.
4. She is going to do some light redecorating in parts of her house to make them "Fall cozy" and laid back. The house is pretty much fully decorated but there are just some tiny little changes she would like to make. Things like cushions, candles and dried flowers...
5. She and Harry are going to entertain a small group of friends at home for dinner and cocktails.
6. She is also flirting with the idea of an autumn picnic at a spot with water views but that is going to depend on a few factors.
What are you doing for the Autumn this year? The Duchess hopes that whatever you do, you stay safe, and you stay positive. She and Harry and the Kids wish everyone a happy Fall.
