GQ is Set to Honor Meghan Duchess of Sussex in London for her Charity Work
Will Meghan and Harry make that 8-hour trek to London this November to collect an award from GQ Magazine? Time will tell. It is a bit soon after the Queen's death and they are probably tired from everything that they have going on at the moment. It is a lot. And they have two children to mind.
But it might be a good idea for them to spend two or three weeks in England with the children and for the children to spend some time with their young cousins, Louis, Charlotte and George. Kate and Meghan are both good moms and they should both work on creating a relationship between those children.
Sure, we have our issues with how Kate and William treated Meghan; and Diana is literally rolling over in her grave to see how her eldest son left his little brother to rot in the firestorm that ensued when he announced his choice of wife. She is not at all happy about it. But I can hear her spiritual whispers and she has told me not to hate William and Kate. She wants her sons to reconcile, not grow further apart. She wants her grandchildren to get along and to know each other -- even if the "Fab FOUR" never comes to fruition.
No, this does not mean that the Sussexes should move back to England full-time. They should stay in California full time, especially now that I have heard they are planning to buy a winery and vineyard. But they should spend some time in England as regularly as possible. They should occupy Frogmore as often as possible and the brothers and their wives must reach a truce. This is what Diana wants. This is what she whispered to me. She also whispered to me about Camilla and how Camilla is not helping to patch up the fissure in Charles' and Harry's relationship. Of course, we have to forgive Camilla. It is her own inner turmoil that makes her do this but she is not all bad. Meghan can learn a lot from her.
So, I have to work on forgiving Kate and William. But it will not be easy.
In the meantime, Meghan and Harry should absolutely show up in person so that Meghan can accept her award. She has to understand that it is not just her fans; even her haters want to see her! They want to see what she wears and listen to what she says. This girl obviously has to be careful. It is a Marie Antoinette syndrome that is very real and she has to be very careful because these are dangerous people. She should always watch her back with these people. But so long as she does not live in England and accept their "free" money, they will tolerate her, and may even spare her life. Paying back for Frogmore was the smartest thing she and Harry could have ever done.
She should go to the Awards ceremony though. I hope she goes. It is exciting.
