Are Titles for Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana at Risk Now that the Danish Queen Margrethe Has Stripped her Grandchildren of their titles?
News just erupted that Queen Margrethe of Denmark has done something shady with her grandchildren's royal titles. Now, in addition to worrying that the British people are going to blame them for the financial fiasco caused by Prime Minister Liz Truss and her Chancellor Kwasi Karteng, Meghan and Harry have to worry about Margrethomics as well which means their kids won't have an inheritance.
Trussonomics and now Margrethomics....For the love of God.
So granny Margie over in Denmark just got up one morning and decided that her 4 grandchildren who had all been Princess and Princes since birth, would now be counts and countesses. Like, wtf? It is even crazier than Charles III waking up and deciding that William and Kate would have 3 titles instead of one title overnight. They went from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall. So now they are thoroughly confused about what to call themselves.
The grandchildren of granny Margrethe of Denmark, at least, only have one title now: count or countess. So it will be Count Nikolai, Count Felix, Count Henrik and Countess Athena. Before they were all HRH prince and princess.
Why has she decided to punish her grandchildren in this manner? Who the heck knows? She was probably trying to help out King Charles III who might have called for advice about what to do with Archie and Lillibet who are now listed as Master and Miss on the official royal website. She must have promised him she got his back with that one because the timing is very, very curious.
That said, England is not Denmark and there is that situation with the letters patent of George V. So Archie and Lillibet became Prince and Princess a couple of weeks ago by right. He could rescind, as old Margie has just done, and call them Count Archie and Countess Lilibet. Or he could just leave it as Master Archie. And Miss Lilibet.
Why "master"? It sounds like a slave owner. It would not be surprising that there is a tongue-in-cheek double entendre there.
Meghan was right about these people. The whole hoopla about them being great-grandchildren of the monarch was bullshit. It is because their mother is not the right color and lineage. It is pure discrimination and racism. Now that the Queen is dead, they are still floundering, trying to come up with an excuse and Margrethe just handed them an assist.
In the end, this might be better for them though. Today you have it, tomorrow you don't. It is so random. What does it change fundamentally about who this human being is if he or she goes from one day to the next with a completely different name? It's just silly.
The idea of monarchy is out-dated. These titles and all this nonsense are silly. Can you imagine that people take it upon themselves to call themselves by all these names and expect you to bow down to them and declare yourself "obedient" to them? It is like worshipping another human as if they are God and they are human just like you. They eat, they shit, they sleep, they shower sometimes. And then they die. And you have to literally bow down to these people because they said so?
How can people accept this as normal on any level?
