Meghan Markle's Mother Doria Ragland

Meghan Markle's Mother Doria Ragland is a very mysterious woman. She is mysterious because she keeps her tongue between her teeth. She says very little. So people do not know who she is and what she is made of.

This is a very good thing for Duchess Meghan. The last thing she needs is a mother who is set on hanging her out to dry. Unfortunately, some mothers in Doria's place would have sold out the Duchess long ago. Because you can be sure that Doria has been offered a ton of money for interviews and scoops about her child by more than one media outlet. But to her credit, she has yet to cave in.

Ditto for the Duchess' ex husband Trevor, by the way. Although, he is rumored to be working on a sensationalized version of their life together in a tabloid-friendly book, so if that is so, one can only hope to God that Doria Ragland never follows suit.

The Duchess and her mom seem to have an excellent relationship. Was their relationship always smooth without problems and issues? Well, surely they are not perfect humans so there are bound to have been issued along the way. The mother-daughter relationship is always one that is fraught with conflict, after all, even under the best of circumstances.

Meghan does keep her mother close, though, and it is notable that Doria Ragland was the only family member that Meghan invited to her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. She did invite her father, too, to walk her down the aisle but at the last minute, that plan had to be shelved as he seems to have had some medical issues.

How did Thomas and Doria ever end up together to produce a specimen like Duchess Meghan in the first place? They seem like the most unlikely couple! But it is interesting that Doria has never said anything about Thomas, and he has never bad-mouthed Doria either. Very interesting...

Meghan is lucky to have a mother like Doria who has stood in silent and dignified support of her for all these turbulent months and years. It has surely made a difference to the beleaguered duchess to have this constancy of love and support in her corner. We should all have a mother like Doria.
